DAY TWO

Today started out very well. Allen and I hit the fitness center and then enjoyed a great breakfast in the hotel. Sandy Swanson picked us up at about 10:30 and we headed to the shelter. We met for two hours with the counselors. It was very helpful but a bit sobering as well. We were reminded of what great progress our three kids have made in the last few years.

Sandy had warned us on the way to the shelter that the second day of the visit is usually much harder than the first. That proved to be true. I guess the best way for me to explain about this day is that reality is beginning to set in for our kids. Nothing really bad happened, but yes, we are all feeling the anxiety that comes with significant change.

Allen and I came back to the hotel around 4 p.m. and have had a good evening of rest. It is only the second day here and we are very tired. It is a very emotionally draining experience. I can only imagine how our kids must feel.

I am needing lots of prayer tonight. Today was much harder than yesterday. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Mary and Allen,
I've sent a couple of messages to your sherbtel account in the last few days. I hope you have been able to access them. Please know how MUCH you are in our hearts and our prayers! You're at the top of my prayer list this day. May God show His presence in extra special ways to you and your children these next days. May He Bless You in Abundance for your faithfulness to His leading! We can't wait to meet the kids!
We Love You! Annie (and family)

It is so incredible (and touching!) to be able to follow along step by step with this amazing experience you are having. Your photos are great! And thanks for being so honest about your feelings. I am definitely inspired to be praying for all of you. Take care and know that we are all loving hearing from you back home. It will be even better to see you!

Hi again! As Ken and i were talking about you, Ken said: The children may also say: "What did we get into as well?" (impossible to imagine with your kids!) We are sure that our children thought the same thing to themselves as they grew up in our family, but we can tell you that being at this end of our journey (so far) we are so blessed (beyond our expectations) that we followed God's Leading as parents. We often did not feel that we had the wisdom that we needed but God has Blessed us in spite of our limitations as parents! We love you both! Rox and Ken ps: because of our recent trip, we know that you are ahead of us timewise. I will try to provide some "goodies" for meals when you return as I am just making our first meal tomorrow! ha ha (rox)

Mary and Allen,
We're reading your blog and are so excited for you - now that you are officially Mom and Dad to your new 3 kids. We're praying. the first day sounded so awesome, and the reality of the second day seems probably very normal. I wonder what the third day will bring. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We're cheering you on!
Love to you all,
NANCY AND BOB

What a great action shot of "Rigo" catching the frisbee. He may be the next Michael Jordan. I'm sure you know you are in our prayers and thoughts every day. Coming down from an emotional high and an exhausting trip is REALITY and you two will deal well with it. Love to all, John and Joan

The pictures here are wonderful- whoever took them is a gifted photographer! Yes, I have been one of the lurkers, anonymously reading your blog, Mary. Your lives are such an adventure!
These children are about to receive a very special blessing, becoming members of the Mork family, and I know that you feel blessed by them, too. Miracles happen every day, and reading your blog, I am able to witness one. How wonderful!
Soon you will all be home. What a precious word, "home." You will have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, and we will all be blessed by your being here.Thank you for what you have given these children. You are truly special people.

Hi Allen, Mary, & kids,

I've not ever visited your blog site before, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your journey and seeing all the great pictures. My goodness, I have been sitting in my office, crying my make-up off! What a fantastic glimpse into your family & the work of God. I will certainly be praying a lot for all the transitions, but God is great, isn't He? I know I will enjoy seeing your family knit together and seeing how God is working.

Safe journeys,
Sharri Kay
