THE FOURTH OF JULY

Independence Day is an interesting holiday. We don't have a yearly tradition, but we usually try to think of something fun to do. We will often invite a few people for a picnic or spend the day on the boat. I have always like watching the fireworks, but Allen would prefer to watch them on television (or not at all!) I don't blame him. It is usually crowded and takes a ridiculous amount of time to navigate through all the traffic.

This Fourth of July was a bit different than this year. We had a relaxing, do nothing day at home. Lindsay had plans so it was just the four of us for lunch. We grilled hamburgers and had a picnic in our back yard. In the evening, the other two girls had their own parties to go to. I did a little babysitting and Allen went to the Twins game. Kind of a weird day, but fun none the less. I was trying to take a few (normal) pictures when we decided to take some unconventional pics for the Fourth. Kind of silly, but well, it was something to do... Hope you had a great day!

Cute pictures! I liked the pictures from Chicago as well -- the houses, and especially the one of the girls running through the water!
