I just spent a few days in Chicago with my friend, Vicky, our daughters and some of their friends. Caroline, the friend we went to visit, will be rooming with Meagan and Kristin next year. It was great to spend some time with our girls, meet Caroline's family and enjoy a little bit of Chicago at the same time. They are such nice girls and very easy to be with.
On the evening of our arrival, we were treated to Chicago style pizza. It is a deep dish pizza with the sauce on the top. It was very good and filling. I have always wanted to try it, but never had the chance. Other highlights were a trip to the beach on Lake Michigan, TASTE OF CHICAGO and Millennium Park. Vicky and I visited a fun farmers market and sampled an organic brat and smoothie. Yum! We even squeezed in a quick cup of coffee with my friend Sherri who is in Chicago visiting her father. Sherri is my next door neighbor and good friend (in Cambridge) so seeing her was an extra bonus!!
Traveling is such fun thing to do. I get to Chicago about once a year. It seems that I discover new things each time I go. Thanks for the fun time and great memories, ladies!
